Die Stadt ist ca. 10 Km von Ceske Budejovice (Budweis) entfernt und ist berühmt für die neogotische Burg, die sich in einem großen englischen Park befindet. Die Stadt ist von malerischen Seen und Wälder mit Jagdschlösser umgegeben. In der Stadt finden sich auch bekannte Feste und Ausstellungen statt. Für die Besucher stehen Sportaktivitäten wie Reiten und Golf zur Verfügung. Der Besuch von Stadt Hluboka wird Sie nicht enttäuschen!

Sie können mit dem Bus oder mit dem Zug von Prag nach Hluboka fahren. Die Busverbindung ist schneller. Es gibt mehrere Busgesellschaften, die die Verbindung von Prag nach Hluboka durch Ceske Budejovice anbieten, z.B.: ČSAD JIHOTRANS, STUDENT AGENCY, ČSAD AUTOBUSY ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE. Die Reise dauert ungefähr 3 Stunden.

Chateau Hluboká nad Vltavou

This romantic and beautiful chateau, originally a baroque castle, was rebuilt in the 18th century in a baroque style and then again in the 19th century in an english gothic style. Its interior offers 140 rich furnished rooms and 11 towers. The visitors can choose from a wide offer of guided tours, showing the most interesting parts of the castle. The chateau also became a popular place for weddings and fests.

Aleš South Bohemian Gallery

Aleš South bohemian Gallery exhibits a famous collection of Gothic art from South Bohemia together with an art collection of Czech and European 16th – 19th century, including the unique exposition of Dutch painting.

Ohrada Castle

Ohrada castle is located only 2 km from the town of Hluboká. It was built as a hunting castle. Its purpose was to host hunting fests and celebrations. Today´s woodcraft and hunting museum (one of the oldest in the world) exposes a collection of hunting trophies and animals.

ZOO

Zoo is the ideal place to visit for families with children. You can admire over 200 species of animals there, living mainly in Europe. Hluboká zoo also offers a unique programme for children. Due to its location near the castle Ohrada and by a pond , it is an ideal place for taking a walk as well.

Knížecí Dvůr Gallery

The art presentation of contemporary artists in the Knížecí Dvůr Art Gallery is a great benefit to Hluboka´s cultural life and attracts many visitors.
